FRIDAY NIGHT PAJAMA PARTY

Remember your days as a giggling grade-school girl pulling your first slumber party all-nighter in your parent’s basement? Revisit that nostalgia in the Great Hall of the Jasper Park Lodge in the lap of unpretentious pampering. Only now no one is going to scold you for staying up too late, laughing too loudly or tell you to turn the music down. Wear your favorite flannels to this mix and mingle and enjoy some delicious hors’d oeuvres. This is the official opening of an indulgent weekend of food, fun and friends…not to mention more than a few Cosmopolitans.

DANCE PARTY

Do you remember how much you loved to dance as a teen - sock hops, school dances and dancing at home in front of a mirror where only your stuffed animals could see you in the privacy of your bedroom. Well it's time to bust out your craziest moves and dance, dance, dance. Our DJ will spin your favorite songs that will keep you grooving and shaking all night. At a gals gathering it could mean cosmos and crudités. Powder and Poker will teach you how to play and party your way. Full of poker fundamentals this clinic provides the basics of play - when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em. It explains the ranking of different hands, such as a full house or a royal flush, poker lingo and the rules of betting. Join us for a fun session of betting and bluffing Texas Hold ‘em style. It’s really easy to learn and fun to play with any number of people. By the end of the session you will have learned, laughed and gained a self-confidence that will extend far beyond the poker table. Come and spend some time with Sommelier Erin Rosar as she makes learning about wine enjoyable and easy. She will guide you through a palate pleasing tasting of four different wine styles. This seminar will leave you with a better understanding of wine terminology, wine flavours, serving temperatures and practical know how of how to pair wines with food with confidence. If you have ever wanted to learn more about wine then this is a seminar you won't want to miss. Erin's love of great food and wine guided her pursuit of wine education with the International Sommelier Guild. Traveling to wine growing regions is a passion and she has been to many regions in the world to experience wines first hand. Erin has founded WG Wines Consulting to teach and open the world of wine to students and clients and she is always excited to share her personal love and enthusiasm for the wines of the world.
