Friday Night Fondue Reception

Saturday Signature Dinner                                      

There is no better way to end your day in Lake Louise than to enjoy good food and good wine. This will truly be an epicurean experience and a celebration of great cuisine and wine. Whether you are a wine enthusiast Culinary Delightsor culinary connoisseur (or both) you will savour imaginative flavour combinations with wines picked to create the best synergy between the flavours and weights in both the wines and the dishes. Wine is included with your meal.

Chef Felix Pfister will create the magnificent menu and Sommelier Erin Rosar will pair the wines specifically for each of the courses.

The wine focus will highlight at least one Canadian wine style for the dinner. Wines will be discussed in a brief forum before each course for added information on the wine and food pairing choices. Cheers and Bon appétit.

Saturday and Sunday Breakfast


Enjoy a bountiful breakfast to start your day. An extensive buffet awaits Poppy Brasserieyou at your leisure in the Poppy Brasserie, located in the lower lobby of the hotel. The Poppy is a charming room with a varied menu that will appeal to all appetities. Breakfast is served from 7:00 - 11:00. Reservations are not required. Simply identify yourself to your server as being part of The Adventure Package.

Saturday Lunch

After an adventure filled morning, or simply a wonderful sleep - in you are sure to have worked up an appetite. Join our group for a luncheon buffet before you head out for afternoon fun.


Particiate in as many (or as few!) as you like. These are all included in your Adventure Package.

Sleigh Rides

TakSleigh Ridee a horse-drawn sleigh ride along majestic Lake Louise to views of The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and its spectacular mountain setting. The traditional sleighs feature cozy, upolstered seats and blankets to keep you warm and comfortable. See the sights - Western style. Rides last 45-50 minutes. Check in at the Sleigh Desk in the hotel corridor at least 30 minutes prior.

Ice Skating

In winter, the vivid blue-green water of Lake Louise transforms into a vast, breath-taking natural rink where skaters can glide, twirl and play to their Skatinghearts content. Skate around the magical ice castle for a memorable winter outing. An additional rink near the Nordic Stop has been specially created for games of hockey and broom ball. Bring your own skates, or skates can be rented for an small additional charge.

FIRE cooking demonstration at our Summer Adventure getaway. Now you'll be completely in awe of what he can do with Ice CarvingICE. See how he uses his skill and creativity while using saws, chisels and powertools to transform a 300 lb block of ice into a work of art. This will be an interactive demo with some hands on and lots of liquor tasting to warm you up. It will be held outside in the greatest landscape for ice carving in the world - the front of the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.

This adventure will be followed by a group picture in front of the ice castle.
Rustin Cox
Rustin Cox is Sous Chef at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and has been both a Chef and an Ice Carver for 13 years. He has represented Canada at the world Ice Art championships in Alaska and China and has also competed in Ottawa, Lake Louise, Fort St. John and Edmonton events. He was raised on a farm just outside Camrose, Alberta by the" greatest parents ever."


15th Annual Ice Magic Festival


You'll be enjoying your weekend Adventure Getaway and Play during the
Ice Magic Weekend January 23-25. This is an annual event at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise where professional carvers are invited to compete in this prestigious event staged in the shadow of the glacier clad Mount Victoria. Twelve teams of three carvers are given 15 blocks of ice, weighing 300 lbs each, which they must transform into seven-foot tall world-class ice sculptures in three days. Sunday you can cast your vote for the peoples choice awards.

Snowshoeing Along the Great Divide

Winter reigns supreme along the peaks of the Great Divide with an average snowfall of 3Snow Shoeingm/13 ft. If you can walk, you can snowshoe. After gearing up and listening to a brief explanation of the basics of snowshoeing, you and your fully certified guide will venture into the forest to look for sign of creatures that have adapted to the demanding winter conditions. You will learn to read the tracks of different animals, and discoverwho is hunting whom for lunch. Snowshoes included at no additional charge.

You can choose either Snowshoeing or Cross Country Ski Lessons as part of the inclusion in your weekend package.

Cross Country Ski Lessons

Imagine Cross Country Ski yourself gliding along a quiet forest trail surrounded by mountains blanketed in snow. And, before you hit the trails, take a lesson to fine-tune your skiing abilities.

Instructors are certified through the Canadian Association of Nordic Ski Instructors, and will happily tailor the lessons for those who have never been on cross-country skiis, as well as for advanced skiers seeking to advance their technique. Bring your own skies, or skies will be provided at no additional charge.

Salsa is thInstructorse most popular Latin Street Dance and one of the most popular forms of social dance today. Like the popular dip, Salsa dance is made up of many ingredients which give it particular spice and zest. Whatever your fitness level come ready to move and you'll be enjoying the wonderful rhythms of Salsa in no time.


Roneel and Amanda met at a Salsa dance class. Within a few weeks, the two were a couple not only in life, but also on the dance floor. Combined, they have ten years of Salsa dancing experience and have both taught Salsa dancing at the University of Lethbridge. They'll offer a fun-filled lesson that with leave you with some simple, but hot Salsa moves, even if you have 'two left feet.'

BEHIND THE SCENES KITCHEN TOUR: Have you ever seen the inner workings of a commercial kitchen? You will hear the history of the Victoria Room and the building stages of the hotel. Next a visit to the main kitchen and each function area will be explained as well as the levels of cooks. You'll also get a good understanding of the logistics - the flow of brunches and buffets as well as banquets. Kitchen equipment will also be discussed. Questions are encouraged. Tour length: Approx 1 hr

Then enjoy a a fascinating cooking class led by a member of the talented culinary team.

Comfort food is Cooking about nurturing - with a good measure of love and caring stirred into the pot. What better way to warm up this winter than with simple and hearty meals? Winter calls for foods that are quick and easy, nouishing and comforting. Our talented chef will prepare the ultimate comfort foods - some old-fashioned dishes that have never lost their appeal as well as new comfort foods that have become a staple in contemporary kitchens. Just sit back and enjoy the soothing aroma as Chef shares his recipes and secrets.
